Q: What is FP7?

• A: FP7 is an acronym for the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. The duration of FP7 is 2007-2013 and its budget is over 50 million Euros.

• A: More information about FP7 can be found on the CORDIS website. The CAAST-Net website also has an FP7 page with downloadable pamphlets in English, French and Portuguese, as well as links to websites with more information.

• A: You can register for an account by clicking on Register in the last of grey link boxes on the left hand side of the page. You will have to fill in some details about yourself in order to activate your account. Registering for an account will allow you to comment on pages, make use of the Watchlist feature, and post in the forum.

• A: Your username is displayed in the top-right corner of the screen. If you click on this, it will take you to your profile page, from where you will have several options for editing the details of you user profile. One of the options is Change password. Click on this, enter your new choice of password, and click Update to confirm the change.

• A: You can use the Watchlist feature. Simply find the page that you want to be alerted on when changes have been made, move your mouse pointer over the Watch option in the top left of the screen, and select Watch this page from the drop down list. You will then receive an email update whenever a change is made to this page.

• A: There are several possible reasons. As you will only receive email updates when changes are made (you will not get an email telling you that nothing has changed), it is possible that there have simply been no developments on the pages or spaces on you Watchlist. It is also possible that you have your email alerts set to a very low frequency (such as monthly), or there are no pages or spaces currently on your Watchlist. To check these things, move you mouse pointer to the Watch button at the top of the screen. From the menu that appears, select Manage your Watchlist. This will take you to a screen where you can alter the frequency of you email alerts using the dropdown menu provided, and the spaces and pages currently on your Watchlist will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. To add things to your Watchlist, simply go to the page or space you wish to be updated on and select the appropriate option from the Watch dropdown.
